Week 8 was rather uneventful and I missed school on Tuesday and Wednesday as Robert was sick. I went with Sonja on Thursday to her grade 11 classes. It turned out to be her most difficult day with 9 classes and no lunch break.

Week 9 was Berlin, the best part of my exchange. As Peter has already mentioned the many activities we did I will not go into details. It was really good to finally see other Australians, even if they were from Adelaide. We quickly made friends and it made the week even better. Apart from the planned activities we also had a few afternoons of free time. We used these to roam the city by ourselves. We played train hopping, our new game that involves running to a new train carriage at every station, we tested out our language skills by asking random Germany plenty of random questions.
A disappointing moment of the free time was going into the Australian bar. As we were the only Australians there we felt a certain sense of entitlement and worth in the establishment. That was until we were fined €5 for being to loud. Quite Unaustralian behaviour there, it's safe to we won't be recommending anyone go there in the future.

It was an amazing week, very sad to say goodbye to our new friends. Only one more week for us here, we fly out on the 27th of January

Ciao, Michael Michaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11538910790953671407noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-3487324171615024192013-01-21T03:30:00.000+11:002013-01-21T03:30:02.177+11:00Weeks 8 and 9: More basketball and BerlinWhat a couple of weeks it has been! With the end of the exchange approaching it has certainly been quite an exciting experience.

Week 8 was not that interesting apart from seeing a third german basketball match ( which the Brose Baskets won of course) and then the following day Tim had a couple of friends round at the house where we watched a few movies.

Week 9 was the ever so long awaited Berlin trip. I got to Nürnberg at 10:00 on sunday morning where i met up with the rest of my Australian friends, and then at 11 we proceeded on the 5 hour bus trip to Berlin. When we got there I was put in a room with Michael and two boys from Calvin down in the south of Tasmania, Dale and Eamonn. We quickly became friends and dubbed ourselves the Tazzy Boizz.
In Berlin we saw many attractions like the Reichstag, The Museum Island, the Brandenburg gate, Checkpoint charlie, Sansouci palace as well as the East side gallery where we saw the infamous wall in person. We also visited the Potzdamer and Alexander Platzes (where much shopping was done), the Jewish museum, Madame Tussuads as well as Sachsenhausen concentration camp, where many of the atrocities executed by the Nazis took place.
Apart from the attractions mentioned above we also went bowling, saw the Life of Pi, watched a comedy show, saw the Blue Man Group and partook in karaoke.
As the week progressed we quickly became friends with the Adelaide group that accompanied us and partook in many fun games with them like " train hopping", chasing people in top hats and having lots of parties in our "party-zimmer".

When it came time to depart from the Adelaidieans it was quite emotional, because most we would not see again, but I reckon that because of the bonds that were created during the trip, not seeing them again would be unlikely.

With only 9 more days until we get back to Australia heres hoping that the last week will be a great one.

Ciao, Peter :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13094711201005759565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-79875342022203629252013-01-08T08:44:00.004+11:002013-01-08T08:44:41.454+11:00Weeks 6 and 7: The christmas holidays

Hi guys sorry for the lateness of this post. Because I have been in Austria and just got back a couple of days ago I decided to make a big post on my christmas holidays instead of two smaller ones.

Christmas was a really fun occasion with the whole family with a big dinner on the 24th ( thats when they hand out the presents by the way, not on the morning o the 25th) and then relax days afterwards. We got to see the Hobbit on boxing day and that was really awesome, and then on the friday we headed out to Austria for the next week.

When we got to Ramsau ( the place we stayed at in Austria) we were greeted by Tim's sister and her boyfriend and after a good sleep, we headed into skiing the next day. At this point I had no prior experience at skiing so after a couple of lessons from my host parents I got sent to Ski kindergarten ( yes Kindergarten) for 3 days. The instructor was really funny and nice with lots of tattoos and jokes up his sleeve. After learning the basics of skiing on the next day I went skiing with Tim and my host father down a slope which was fun ( and I didn't die, much ). On New Years eve we went to a farm nearby the house where the Wilkes used to stay prior to purchasing it where we had much fun lighting fireworks and sliding down the hill on a toboggan. My time in Austria was really fun and I shall someday return to Ramsau in the future.

With Berlin only 6 days away heres hoping that is going to exceed our expectations.

Bis Später

Peter :)

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13094711201005759565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-38833235024508076862013-01-07T08:14:00.002+11:002013-01-07T08:14:52.158+11:00Week 7: New Years and slalom skiingWow, holidays went quickly. It's really starting to dawn on my that tomorrow (while Australia continues to enjoy school holidays) I will be going back to school.

We welcomed in the new year 10 hours after Australia with friends from school. Due to the legality, avallability and price of fireworks literally everyone had them. We stood on a large overpass with hundreds of other people at 12am, fireworks were going off from 8pm until well into the morning. Everyone had saved their biggest, brightest and loudest ones for 12. We had a really great view over the city and could see hundreds of little firework shows going on in all directions.

Other activities of this week were also good. I went to see the best parallel slalom skiers in the world as they competed at Olympiaberg, a man made slope right beside the Olympic stadium in Munich. It was really weird seeing winter sports, we generally see these once every 4 years when the Winter Olympics is on.

I also went through the Munich Residenz. An amazingly huge and grand building. Unfortunately many areas had been destroyed in WWII. It was still really great to see.
I also went and saw der Hobbit. Although I didn't understand it all as it was in German I understood enough to follow the plot and to enjoy it.

One week of school before we are all reunited in Berlin for a week of solid exchange student bonding.

Michael :)Michaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11538910790953671407noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-47130536661442561832013-01-02T07:11:00.001+11:002013-01-02T07:11:20.919+11:00A slightly late week 6: HolidaysFirstly I'd like to apologise for the lateness of this post. With my blogging companion Peter in Austria and the excitement of holidays it really slipped my mind.

The first week of my two weeks of school holidays was very good. We celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve with dinner, church and then opening presents. The day was very warm, especially for us Australians who were somewhat expecting a white Christmas. It was so warm in fact that Robert and myself went to the park to play soccer wearing shorts and t-shirts.
The next day was a recovery day following the late night before, it was very good to sleep in following the early morning school starts.
On the Wednesday we went to visit grandparents. They live in a little village an hour or so away. We went through old towns on the way with buildings from the 1500s.
The following day was a shopping day, I got to buy new shows among other things. The area where we were shopping had a Lego shop, it was possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen.
It was robert's father's birthday on Friday, the day consisted of cleaning the apartment and having a big party in the evening, another late night followed.
Saturday was another rest day and we were busy getting rest for Sunday. We woke up early on Sunday and went to Austria to ski for the day. This was my first ever experience of skiing so I had a private teacher for the first two hours, after running through the bare essentials of skiing (mainly stopping) I rejoined Robert and his family for the rest of the day. We were skiing on the easier runs but it was still a lot of fun for me. I really loved all of the skiing and will most definitely do it again.

I promise to be on time with the next blog post, I'll tell you about what I got up to for New Years then.

MichaelMichaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11538910790953671407noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-12417429761376809342012-12-24T23:11:00.000+11:002012-12-24T23:11:24.512+11:00Week 5: The halfway pointYet another week gone and Germany never manages to disappoint. School was pretty good, apart from my results in the English test. My results were good for a German student but as someone who speaks fluent English they were a little disappointing. I wish we learnt grammar after primary school, or at least what the various grammar terms were called.
I was sick this week so I missed school on Thursday, this proved to be a good thing as school went until 4 that day. Friday was our last day of school before our 2 weeks of Christmas holidays. Friday night was spent celebrating our holidays with a few boys from our class. We went and saw Skyfall in German. I actually understood the majority of it, I guess explosions and women are an international language.

Saturday was also amazing with family visiting from Luxembourg, it was so good to catch up and to see familiar faces, exactly what I needed halfway through.
Yesterday Robert and I went to an ice hockey game between Munich and Düsseldorf, the crowd was amazingly loud and passionate. Ice hockey was every bit as violent as I'd imagined it to be. It was amazing.
We celebrate Christmas tonight on Christmas Eve, we will eat dinner, go to church and open presents.
Merry Christmas everyone
Michael :)Michaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11538910790953671407noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-3856472966405721652012-12-23T22:44:00.000+11:002012-12-24T08:34:16.582+11:00Halfway thereIts hard to believe that we are already five weeks into the exchange as it feels like we only stepped off the plane last week. It did snow a couple of days ago but unfortunately it is just raining now so the chances of a white christmas are looking more slim :P .

On Wednesday as well as last night we went to a german basketball match where we saw Bamberg's team ( the Brose baskets) dominate in both. The basketball over here is really good with some of the players having done stints in the NBA and there is lots of talent to be seen.
On Thursday we went to see a german play called " Nathan der Weise" with our class in the nearby town of Coburg. We got to wander the christmas market and check out the local sights there. We ended up getting back at midnight which was unfortunate because we had to get up at six the next morning for school. Luckily though because it was the last day until christmas holidays we just got to eat cookies and play games (like soccer in the classroom) which was good.
On Saturday Tim and i played soccer with some of Tim's friends in Geisfeld which was heaps of fun and it again proved as Michael has already said previously they really take soccer seriously over here.

With Christmas just a couple of days around the corner its becoming a much more exciting time here and I am so keen for Austria! Just for your information the place where I am staying in Austria has next to no internet so Michael shall be the main poster until the 8th of January.

Ciao Peter :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13094711201005759565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-47802875484467992252012-12-18T05:59:00.002+11:002012-12-18T05:59:22.006+11:00The Fourth week: Christmas trees and sights seenThis week was a calmer one for me compared to previous weeks, and with a month already gone it just shows how time flies.

School has become a normal part of the routine now, apart from the language barrier I have managed to fit right in and really have fun with my new German friends. On Friday we went on a walk through Bamberg, sampling some of the sites like the Alter Rathaus and the Bamberger Dom, which were very interesting.

On the weekend we bought a christmas tree from a nearby village and that should arrive in a couple of days, as well as go to Tim's soccer presentation night, where there was much food and many gifts given.

As Michael has mentioned it is getting warmer here ( like Tassie Winter temperature :P ) so the snow has melted, but there is a small chance of a White Christmas so who knows? The next few weeks are going to be very fun with Skiing in Austria for two weeks, school for a week, Berlin, then final week of school.

Servus
Peter :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13094711201005759565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-74010068730926567772012-12-18T05:44:00.001+11:002012-12-18T05:44:11.411+11:00The fourth weekWe are nearing the halfway stage of the exchange. I know Peter and I have said it almost every week but this whole thing is really flying by. School has become a routine and it is easy now. The only highlight for school in the week was going to get Running Sushi. Basically, you pay €10 and can eat as much sushi as you want. I was triumphantly sick afterwards.
The snow was good this week. On Friday afternoon/evening, Robert, his friend an myself went to Westpark. We went sledding, the snowfall was good so we managed to go down the hills pretty fast. After many hours of sledding down, rolling down and riding a shopping trolley down (an activity I declined to be apart of preferring to return to Australia alive) we decided to build a considerable jump halfway down the slope, this extended out stay by an hour or two and was very much worth it.

The weekend was very much a family one. Meeting extended family members eating a lot of good Bavarian food. The Christmas tree also went up this weekend. Munich is lookin very good with lights and cute little markets set up for Christmas.
It is getting warmer, no where near the summer of Australia but the snow is melting. We have a slight chance of a White Christmas, we will see how that goes. The odds here are much better than Launceston anyway.

School holidays start at the end of the week. I cannot wait for 2 weeks off. After this week, our remaining five weeks consist of: 2 weeks holiday, 1 week school, 1 week in Berlin with all the exchange students and 1 week more of school.

Michael :)Michaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11538910790953671407noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-45738232052618565302012-12-12T07:57:00.001+11:002012-12-12T07:57:14.232+11:00Third week: Tollwood, Bayern and meetings What an amazing week it has been, definitely my favourite so far. School was pretty standard and went by very quickly now that I've settled into the way things work there. On Monday night, Robert and I went to the Tollwood market. The biggest Christmas market in Munich. It really was impressive and lit up an otherwise dreary sky. We had one of my favourite experiences so far, chocolate döner. Quite literally döner made from chocolate, best €5 I've ever spent.
On Wednesday night I went to see FC Bayern München play BATE Borrisov in the Champions league at Allianz arena. The game was amazing and Bayern won 4-1. The crowd was incredible, much greater than any AFL crowd (sorry if I offended anyone there), it seriously was amazing. Everyone joined in the chants and had incredible passion which made the atmosphere very special.

Saturday was a day to be reunited with my blog buddy Peter. At the meeting we discussed our initial thoughts and shared stories and little things that were different here. Peter's host father then took us to BMW which was very cool to see. I enjoyed looking at all the cars just as much as watching Peter. He was really in heaven there, I acted as a backup photographer for him after his camera died (really should have charged it beforehand Peter, just saying). We had a rather emotional goodbye with many bro hugs and various manly embraces, we will see each other again in January when we go to Berlin.

Sunday was another meeting for me, Robert and I went to the meeting for German students doing the exchange next year. It was wet good to see it from the other side. Robert and I drew on all our Tasmania knowledge and really talked the place up, hopefully we didn't oversell it.

Christmas is getting closer, Munich sure knows how to decorate. The snow is falling at the moment, many snowball fights have been had and one failed snowman attempt.

Michael :DMichaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11538910790953671407noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-36791952282599086902012-12-11T22:45:00.000+11:002012-12-11T22:46:45.780+11:00The 3rd week: Cars, Reunions and More snow!Week three was a great one, with me fulfilling a childhood dream of mine and also reuniting with some of my friends.

On Wednesday because I liked Adidas my host family took me to the Adidas outlets in Erlangen, where much money was spent on two shirts, a hoodie, some futsal boots and a new back pack.

On Saturday we had a meeting for the exchange students in Munich and Nuremberg, I went to the one in Munich and Reunited with the co admin of this blog and my besto Michael. Many bro hugs were exchanged. After the meeting when we got to catch up and exchange stories of our stay so far (and make friends with the Hobart people), Michael and his exchange Robert decided to accompany us to a place I had been dreaming of going to, the BMW world and Museum (well just basically their headquarters). We got to see Rolls Royces, Minis and more BMWs then you could poke a stick at, as well as look at concepts and racing legends of years gone by.
After a reluctant goodbye we went with Tim's sister and her boyfriend to have dinner in one of the local Brauhouses where I ate a delicious Sauerbraten and had the best Spezi ever!

The next day we went to the Tollwood Markets (where Oktoberfest is held) and experienced the local culture, then we spent the rest of the day driving back to Geisfeld, where there was over half a metre of snow waiting to be shovelled away! :P

As Michael would agree, it was a great experience this week to get reunited and bond over BMWs and I cannot wait to see the rest of the group in Berlin!

Ciao Peter :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13094711201005759565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-12077131773009693632012-12-04T05:10:00.000+11:002012-12-04T05:10:09.239+11:00Der Zweiten WocheThe second week was a great one, and it really shows that the weeks are going by rather quickly.

As Michael mentioned the local Döner here is amazing and I highly recommend having one at least once in your lifetime. I have rather become an addict to this local delicacy, jumping when the opportunity to have one arises!
Last Wednesday we went to Coburg after school where we saw the Vaste Coburg ( a big castle) and ate apparently one of the best wursts in Bayern, which were cooked by burning pinecones if anyone is interested. The next day I was sick ( because the wursts did not agree with me so to speak :P ) but on a positive note the first snow fell in Geisfeld, which was quite an experience for me.
On the friday we met up with Michelle and her exchange partner Sophie and we shared our experiences/ thoughts of Germany so far which was good ( plus it was good to see another Australian again). Then we went to another community concert ( this time in the Gartenstaat, which is a suburb of Bamberg) and yet again there was plenty of moshing and the pogo to some of Bamberg's finest rock music.
On the weekend we went on a walk from Geisfeld to another village ten kilometres away, which meant walking thought the forest and on the quiet country roads (remember by now most of the Geisfeld area is covered with snow) which was quite fun, especially throwing snowballs at Tim ;).

Now that I have settled into life in Germany things should get a lot easier, with now just the language barrier to tackle heres hoping I will improve.

Will keep you posted

This week went a lot faster for me as I was really getting settled into life here. School was a lot more bearable as I am really getting used to the set up there. I understand maths, chemistry and physics in German which makes me feel a little better sitting up in class. I had my first Doner Kebab this week, as I'm sure Peter can relate, the experience was incredible and we will have to find somewhere in Tasmania where we can get such food.
Once again, my weekend was full of things I do and see. On Saturday we went to a massive water-park in Erding. It was like a water-park and a day spa all in one and was awesome. We went from lounging in the pool, to going 70km/h on one of the slides, to once again relaxing in a sauna or spa. All the pools were heated, even outside where the temperature was about 2 degrees, the pool was still very warm. So much so that you coul barely see others due to the steam off the pool.
Today (Sunday), was also good. I went to a classical concert where Robert's uncle played violin. It was very good to see, the music was good and so was the atmosphere. We then went to a Bavarian restaurant which was delicious.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention. IT SNOWED THIS WEEK!
Yes, it snowed, not a lot of snow but snow nonetheless.
I am going to watch Bayern Munich play BATE Borrisov in the champions league on Wednesday at Allianz arena. I cannot wait, I will be good fun.
We will keep you posted,
Michael :)Michaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11538910790953671407noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-87103135909324826682012-11-26T03:42:00.001+11:002012-11-26T03:42:17.319+11:001 down 9 to go!It has been a really interesting first week in Germany, I have experienced so much already and I have only scratched the surface.

As Michael mentioned Wednesday was a public holiday, so i had free time to properly unpack my stuff and get acquainted with my new home and family. On Thursday we went into the centre of Bamberg, and I was amazed by all the beautiful building around the city, especially that they were in top condition. We had kebabs, which were probably the best I have tasted so far, and did a bit of shopping which saw me happily walk away with a new Daft Punk t shirt. The next evening we went to a community rock concert in one of the villages in the area, Litzendorf, which involved a lot of moshing and leaving me very dazed at the end on the day.
On Saturday one of the definite highlights of the trip occurred, which was going to my first Bundesliga match which was Bayern Munich vs Hannover. Bayern Munich won 5:0 of course, which included a bicycle for Martinez (which was his first goal for Bayern in fact) and Gomez scoring just 10 seconds after coming onto the field. That match is going to be an everlasting memory in my life and most definitely a major reason for doing this trip.

I will keep you posted on my adventures in Germany.

Ciao, PeterAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13094711201005759565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-25796056623830267792012-11-26T02:04:00.000+11:002012-11-26T02:04:35.635+11:00One week inMy first week in Germany is almost over, and what an eventful week it has been. I started school on Tuesday with school day 8am-4pm, I can assure you I was utterly exhausted by the end if it. As Peter has said, it is very difficult and tiring to learn subjects in German, especially when they are French or Latin.
Wednesday was a holiday of sorts so Robert and I headed into the city to look around and shop a bit. All the buildings in the centre of Munich are very impressive and unlike anything back in Launceston.
I had two more days of school on Thursday and Friday. Thursday finished at 4 and Friday finished at 2.30.
I have also been training with Robert's soccer team SV Planegg three times this week. It has been an amazing experience to train in an environment so dedicated to soccer. Even the 10 year olds were playing with real precision and purpose.
Yesterday (Saturday) I went down to Herrenchiemsee, a castle built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. It was amazing to see. The interior is so incredibly lavish with gold and paintings. Once again, unlike anything in Tasmania.
This whole experience is absolutely incredible, and I've only been here a week. 9 more to go...Michaelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11538910790953671407noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-36267443067186778452012-11-20T04:10:00.000+11:002012-11-20T04:10:00.776+11:00We are here.
After nearly two years of waiting, it has happened, we are finally in Germany

After a tedious 22 hour total flight time with various stop overs in Melbourne and Dubai and two people constantly asking if i had my passport (thanks Michael and Amelia), the dream has become a reality and we are finally here.

After a great lunch with the Wilke family (as well a Tim's sister's boyfriend and his parents) and more Schnitzel than I could handle we arrived at my future home for the next ten weeks before crashing on the bed so i would be ready for an early start the next day, and my first day in a german school.

My first day was an interesting experience (try being taught latin in german, it's a really good experience folks) and even though the language barrier was difficult at times luckily I have started to make new friends at school which should make my stay a whole lot easier. Hopefully as my language skills get better I will be able to socialise with them more and have a really good time.

Well thats all from me, I'll keep you posted when i can and tell you more about my fantastic adventures in Germania!

Servus

PeterAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13094711201005759565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-39333055176828793512012-11-19T21:08:00.002+11:002012-11-19T21:08:54.952+11:00The longest plane journey of my life Well, I am in Germany now. Getting settled in, it is a bit colder than Australia., something like 5 degrees. The plane over was actually pretty good. If you forget about the delays in both Launceston and Melbourne it was all good. Melbourne to Dubai took ages, we were all separated with random Victorians who were also on the exchange between us. We soon all became friends as we were all in the same boat.
Keeping occupied on the plane was the hardest part. Watching movies was only so fun. There was also sleeping to be done, but on a plane I only managed a total of about an hour. To make matters worse, I kind of broke the TV towards the end of the flight while attempting to play the golf game.
Dubai was something completely different. I have never seen so many people. It was really crowded and shiny and new. For some of us Tasmanians, playing on the Travelators was a must and something that went on for the majority of our time in Dubai.
The next plane was very different. We all talked more it actually hit us that we were going to Germany for 10 weeks. Nerves were running high. It all kind of melted away when we got to Germany. As we all saw our exchange partners it didn't matter how we felt before, we were genuinely happy to be there.

I will keep you posted, hopefully Peter does the same. I am pretty sure I fixed the blog to allow anyone to comment. Please let me know if that is not possible.
Hi Guys!

As Michael mentioned in the previous post nothing much has happened in the last few weeks leading up to our eventful trip, we just though that we needed to keep you guys in the loop as we prepare our journey off into the mystical land that is Germany.

With exams coming up there are some added stresses to preparing for our trip, but so far we are trying to keep cool heads as the departure date looms. We hope to update the blog on the Saturday we fly out, and then hopefully when we arrive as well.

Will keep you posted

Peter ;)

P.S. To those in our fan base stay loyal! The blog can only get better from here....Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13094711201005759565noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047813089567410075.post-20875944851857383942012-11-10T20:45:00.000+11:002012-11-10T20:45:04.625+11:00One week to go...Hello all,

It has been a while since our last update. I appologise for that but to be honest, nothing much has actually happened these past weeks. Nothing worthy of a blog entry. I will not be surprised if we have lost a percentage of the already dwindling fan-base, simply because we failed to capitalise on the hype 'The Peter and Michael Experience' created (obviously).

Well, it seems our departure date is soon approaching. We have entered a week that will certainly be filled with worry, frantic packing and the constant nerves of what we are about to embark on. Not to mention the fact that we have exams all this week! Luckily for me, I have already packed the majority of my things so I do not think I will be under huge pressures, well, other than exams at least.

We aim to update again next Saturday, just before we leave. After that, we will see how things go.

We will probably try to update this at least every few days and it'll most likely be me doing it (because Michael does not have WiFi at where he is staying :P) Hopefully we will do an alright job we'll see how we go :P .

In four weeks, Peter and I will be undertaking the daunting task of becoming exchange students, flying all the way from Australia to Germany. We have basically set up the blog to keep everyone at home informed as to what is going on in each of our lives.

I have no idea how often we will update this, I'd hope we could each update once a week just to keep you all informed of what is happening and what's been going on and all that.

4 weeks to go, I shall keep you posted.
